Bayview offers a choice of two apartments: the top-floor Penthouse and the cosy first-floor Haven, both properties comfortably sleep up to four guests in a twin and double bedroom layout. Infants aren’t included in this occupancy so please just let us know if you’re bringing any under 2’s and if you’ll need a travel cot.  In addition, we’re pet-friendly; bring along one well-behaved dog up to medium sized to join in the fun.

Each apartment is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a home-away-from-home experience and we’ve added in a few little treats and personal touches because we believe it’s the small details that make all the difference.

Penthouse

Two bedroom Penthouse suite on the top floor of Bayview Apartments. Haven

The two bedroom ‘Haven’ is located on the first floor of Bayview Apartments.  Sleeping four, the Haven is a modern dog friendly beachfront apartment with a full length balcony and a wall of glass overlooking the bay of Stonehaven. Two bedrooms (double & twin), shower room and open plan lounge/dining kitchen.

FAQ

Each apartment sleeps up to a maximum of 4 people in a twin and double bedroom. Infants under the age of 2 are not included in this occupancy and we are happy to provide travel cots for them upon request.

Check-in time is from 15:00 onwards, while check-out time is by 11:00.

If you’d like to arrive a little earlier or leave a bit later, please ask, we’ll be as flexible as we possibly can.

The main difference is their location within the building. The Penthouse, on the top floor, offers slightly better views and features vaulted ceilings. Both apartments have the same footprint but differ slightly in their internal layout.

Absolutely! Both apartments are designed to be family-friendly, equipped with amenities to cater to younger guests. We provide a toybox, children’s books, toddler cutlery/crockery, buckets & spades, and beach toys to keep kids entertained during their stay. Additionally, for infants, we offer a travel cot and highchair. Please note that you will need to bring your own cot bedding.

The Penthouse is situated on the top floor of our property, while The Haven is located on the middle floor. Please note that there is no lift access to either apartment. Guests should be aware that there are 16 stairs to reach The Haven and 32 stairs to reach The Penthouse. The stairwell is wide and equipped with a handrail. Additionally, there are half landings after every eight stairs to provide a brief respite during the ascent or descent.

The Haven has a walk-in shower, while The Penthouse has a shower over a bath. The double bed in The Penthouse is accessible from one side, while in The Haven, it’s accessible from both sides. Considering these factors, guests with any mobility issues may find The Haven to be the more suitable option.

Yes, we offer free on-site parking at the rear of the apartments for guests. Each apartment has one designated parking space. Any additional cars must be parked elsewhere (free on street parking is available in close proximity).

Access to our parking area is tight, and unfortunately, it’s not something we’re able to change. However, we promise that the breathtaking views and beachfront location more than compensate for it.

For EV drivers there is a public charging point just 100m from the apartment in the Market Square.

During low season, we require a minimum stay of 2 nights. Over the Festive and mid-season periods, the minimum stay is 3 nights, while during high season, it is 5 nights. Sometimes we can offer flexibility on this so please email us at [email protected]

Our kitchens come fully equipped with essential appliances including fridge, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. We pride ourselves on having an excellent range of crockery, glasses, cookware and utensils.

The fridges within the apartments don’t have a freezer compartment, however there is a shared chest freezer on the landing outside The Penthouse which is stocked with freezer packs and ice.

We have both Cafetieres and Nespresso Vertuo machines (coffee pods provided).

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, allowing you to stay connected during your stay.

Full refund for cancellations made at least 30 days before check-in.
50% refund for cancellations made 7 to 30 days before check-in.

Yes, we provide fresh bed linens and towels for all guests. Please note all beds are made up European style with no top sheet. If you wish to use our travel cot you will need to bring your own linen for it.

All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided as well as washing up liquid, washing machine capsules, dishwasher tablets, dishcloths, oven gloves, kitchen roll, kitchen foil, clingfilm, bin liners, toilet paper, hand sanitiser and general cleaning products.  We also provide teabags, instant coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and cooking oil.

We provide shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap (plus bubble bath in The Penthouse).  There are hairdryers in all bedrooms.

There is a large smart TV in the lounge along with a Bluetooth speaker. Each bedroom is equipped with its own TV and convenient USB sockets beside all beds allow for easy phone charging.

Yes there’s a washing machine and we provide capsules for it. There’s also an airer, drying rack, washing basket, iron, ironing board and plenty of coathangers.

We provide a cleaning service before your arrival and after your departure. We do ask that the property is left in the same state of cleanliness and general order as found. For stays longer than 7 nights we offer a linen change and mid stay clean.

Access to the apartments is arranged through a lockbox system. This allows for a seamless check-in at a time that suits you.

3 days prior to your scheduled arrival, comprehensive instructions detailing how to retrieve the keys from the lockbox will be available within the Guest Area of our booking portal.  

You will be provided with two sets of keys for the duration of your stay.

Your safety is our priority. The apartments are equipped with interlinked fire alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, a first aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket.

  • Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited in the apartments and on the balconies.
  • The use of candles, tea lights, or BBQs is not permitted on the premises.

We ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum both inside the apartment and on the balcony after 10pm out of respect for our neighbours.

Yes, one well-behaved, house-trained dog up to medium size is welcome. When making your booking, please ensure your dog is registered as an additional guest and note that a surcharge of £30 will apply for bookings with pets.

To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, we kindly request that you adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Dogs are not permitted on beds.
  • Dogs should not be allowed on furniture unless a dog blanket is used.
  • Dogs must not be left unattended in the apartment or on the balcony.
  • Any damages caused by dogs will incur additional charges.

We understand that each pet is unique, so if your pet falls outside of our general guidelines, please feel free to message us prior to booking. We want to ensure that both you and your furry friend have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us.

Absolutely! Our licence numbers are AS00130F for The Penthouse and AS00077F for The Haven and our EPC rating is B.

A certified copy of the licence and the licence conditions is available within each apartment.

Yes, we take a refundable damage deposit of £150, this is due 10 days
before check in and will be refunded 3 days after check out.

One well-behaved, house-trained dog up to medium size is welcome. When making your booking, please ensure your dog is registered as an additional guest and note that a surcharge of £30 will apply for bookings with pets.  Stonehaven is known for being very dog-friendly, and we’ll provide you with a list of shops, cafes, and bars where they’ll be welcome, along with details of local walks, pet shops and vets. 

We understand that each pet is unique, so if your pet falls outside of our general guidelines, please feel free to contact us prior to booking.  We want to ensure that both you and your furry friend have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us.
